Traditional Chinese medicine-based health preservation helps with weight management.
-- Experts attended Yamingwei's lecture on weight loss.
In response to the national call for the "Healthy Weight Management Year", and in line with the corporate culture of "Work Diligently, Live Happily" of Yamingwei, on April 30th, Zhejiang Yamingwei Printing and Packaging Co., Ltd. specially invited Dr. Li Xiaoping, the chief traditional Chinese medicine doctor of the First People's Hospital of Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, to hold a health lecture titled "Traditional Chinese Medicine for Slimming, Losing Fat and Health Maintenance".
Expert Interpretation: Causes and Treatments of Obesity from a Traditional Chinese Medicine Perspective
Director Li Xiaoping, drawing on her extensive clinical experience, started from the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine theory and systematically analyzed the causes and hazards of obesity. She pointed out that modern people's obesity is often related to "imbalance of liver, spleen and kidney functions, and poor circulation of qi and blood". Sitting for long periods, improper diet, and emotional distress can all exacerbate metabolic imbalance. For people with sub-health conditions, Director Li proposed the "four-step intervention method":
Dietary adjustment: It is recommended to follow a diet that is low in sugar and fat and high in fiber (such as oats, broccoli, etc.), emphasizing the balanced diet of "grains for nourishment".
2. Sports Health Care: It is recommended to engage in 45 minutes of aerobic exercise every day, combined with traditional health preservation exercises such as Baduanjin and Tai Chi, to promote blood and qi circulation.
3. Traditional Chinese External Treatment: This section covers non-drug therapies such as acupoint massage and acupuncture, which help regulate endocrine and metabolic functions.
4. Emotional adjustment: Use traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions that soothe the liver and relieve depression to alleviate stress-related obesity.
Government-Enterprise Collaboration: Integrating Health Management into Corporate Culture
This event is a vivid illustration of Zhejiang Yamingwei's implementation of the "Healthy China 2030 Plan Outline". The company's executive stated that employee health is the cornerstone of the company's development. In the future, they will continue to carry out a series of activities called "Health Science Popularization in Enterprises", including health check-ups and personalized weight loss plans. After the lecture, the participating employees received a specially-made "Strengthen Spleen and Remove Dampness Weight Loss Tea" by the hospital. This tea blend includes Chinese herbs such as lotus leaf, jujube, and poria, and has both fat reduction and health benefits.
Employee Response: A Healthy Awakening from Awareness to Action
Many employees have commented that the lecture content was "both professional and practical", and they were particularly impressed by the concept of "diagnosis-based treatment" in traditional Chinese medicine. Mr. Chen from the Quality Department said, "In the past, blindly restricting my diet led to weight gain again. Now that I know to choose the appropriate treatment method based on my constitution, I have more confidence in losing weight."
